How to use AI Designer

Search for a tool or browse by category. Hover the ? anywhere in the app for a quick tip.

Getting started

  • ? What is this app?
AI Designer turns reference photos and prompts into production-ready textile and clothing designs — pattern redraws, tiled patterns, photoshoots, and disassembled clothing patterns. Generated assets land in your Library and can be downloaded as PNG, PSD, or SVG.
  • ? How credits work
Every AI generation spends credits. Each tool shows its credit cost next to the run button. Buy more credits or upgrade your plan in Account → Credits & Subscription.

Pages

  • ? Redraw
Redraw a pattern from a text prompt or reference image — florals, batiks, or any motif you describe. Output is a single tileable image you can recolor, vectorize, or restyle from the Library.
  • ? Tiles
Tile any saved pattern into a seamless repeat at the resolution and DPI you choose. Useful right before printing or restyling.
  • ? Recolor
Replace the colors in a saved pattern. Pick a target palette (or extract one from another image) and the recolor preserves shapes while swapping fills.
  • ? Restyle
Apply a saved style to a pattern, or compose a new one. Restyle keeps the silhouette and re-renders the surface treatment (line weight, shading, motifs).
  • ? Vectorizer
Trace a raster pattern into a clean SVG with selectable color layers. Output preserves motif scale and palette and can be downloaded as SVG or layered PSD.
  • ? Upscaler
Increase the resolution of any saved image. Useful before printing — pick 2× or 4× depending on the source size.
  • ? Dirt Removal
Cleans dust, scan artifacts, and small marks from a pattern image while preserving the motif. Run before vectorizing for a cleaner trace.
  • ? Base Image
Convert any image to a clean black-on-white line-art outline. Used as a template for redrawing or for handing off to a designer.
  • ? Component Extractor
Split a pattern into individual layers — by named component (flower, leaf, stem) or by color. Each layer is a transparent PNG you can download separately or as a layered PSD.
  • ? Color Extractor
Pull the dominant palette from any image. Use the resulting palette as the target for Recolor.
  • ? Clothing Pattern
Disassembles a photographed garment into flat sewing-pattern pieces (front body, sleeves, collar, etc.) using a single shared fabric print across all pieces.
  • ? Add a new restyle style
Define a new style by uploading a few reference images. The trained style becomes selectable on the Restyle page and can be applied to any saved pattern.
  • ? Library
Every generated asset lives here, grouped by category (Gallery, Layer, Vector, Garment, Clothing Pattern). Click any item to preview, download, or feed into another tool.

Actions

  • ? Extract Selected
Runs the extractor on only the components you ticked above. Each selected component becomes its own transparent-PNG layer.
  • ? Extract All Colors
Splits the source into one layer per detected color. Each color costs 1 credit. Useful for full-PSD breakdowns.
  • ? Redraw layer
Converts just this one extracted layer into a black line-art outline. Other layers stay untouched, and the redrawn layer keeps its slot in the PSD download.
  • ? Merge layers (drag)
Drag one layer card onto another to merge them. The dragged layer is recolored to match the drop target, then composited on top.
  • ? Download as PSD
Bundles every selected layer into a single multi-layer PSD. Each layer keeps its name and transparency, ready for Photoshop / Procreate.
  • ? Vectorize
Traces the source image into a clean SVG. Tunable color count and detail level — higher color counts preserve gradients but produce larger files.
  • ? Tile pattern
Repeats the pattern into a seamless tile at your chosen tile size and DPI. Used right before printing.
  • ? Upscale 2× / 4×
Doubles or quadruples the long-side resolution while keeping motif sharpness. 4× is overkill below ~1MP source.
  • ? Pick from Gallery
Use any image already in your Library as the input for this tool — saves an upload step and keeps everything traceable to the source.
  • ? Moodboard Creator
Apply this pattern to a clothing photoshoot or a flat-lay product mockup. The result becomes a presentation-ready image saved to Library → Garment.
  • ? Apply Recolor
Replaces the source pattern's palette with the target colors you picked. Shapes stay identical, only fills change.
  • ? Apply Restyle
Re-renders the source with the chosen style — line weight, shading, brushwork. Silhouette and motif scale are preserved.
  • ? Outline redraw
Converts the input into clean black-on-white line-art. Useful as a starting template for hand-coloring or for handing off to a designer.
  • ? Generate tile
Creates a seamless repeating tile from your source pattern. Pick tile style (e.g. half-drop, mirror) and target DPI for printing.
  • ? Generate redraw
Generates a pattern redraw from your prompt or reference. The result is saved to Library → Gallery and can be tiled, recolored, or restyled.
  • ? Run upscale
Increases the long-side resolution by 2× or 4× while preserving motif sharpness. 4× on a small source can introduce halo artifacts — use 2× for borderline cases.
  • ? Remove dirt
Cleans dust, scan artifacts, and small marks from the source while keeping the motif intact.
  • ? Generate clothing pattern
Disassembles a photographed garment into flat sewing-pattern panels with one shared fabric print across all pieces.
  • ? Clothing Pattern from photo
Takes a photographed garment and produces flat sewing-pattern panels (front body, sleeves, collar, cuffs, etc.) with a single shared fabric print.

Library

  • ? Library categories
Gallery (raw generations), Layer (extracted components), Vector (SVG traces), Garment (photoshoots), Clothing Pattern (disassembled garments).
  • ? Multi-layer PSD download
In Layer category: tick multiple layer cards then Download → PSD bundles them into one file. Same control inside the Layer Preview modal.
  • ? Merge layers in Library
Open a Layer asset and drag one layer onto another inside the modal to merge. The merged layer takes the drop target's slot and color.
